‘Solemn June’, Inner Scars and Void Vision(s)

aufnahme + wiedergabe held a special ‘A Solemn June’ event, “A night of Post-Punk, Minimal Synth and EBM’ which, curiously enough, didn’t contain any of their artists but still had a strong lineup nonetheless. I was there to do a session with Shari Vari, better known as Void Vision but eventually did some more stuff too… Just like this post, as usual, has tons of random, stream-of-thought inclusions which rarely make sense…

As I was watching her energetic live show (she went first) I, once again, fell into the abyss of concert photography so here are some shots from that… If you ever have a chance to catch her live, don’t think twice about it…

After the show, we did one of the most fun and laid-back sessions that I’ve ever had. I had a copy of ‘Kill Or Be Killed’ Vol.1 in my backpack so we used it in a couple of photos. Even though I don’t watch TV shows, that comic reminded me of the ‘sadness’ you feel when your favorite show ends and you must continue the life on your own (lol), without having a chance to live that double life anymore.

A rare pic of me smiling, only a half face though, word to Blixa (more on that later in the post). Have you noticed the label branding overload too? I just did.

I’ve been sitting in the garden for the most of the night but I still managed to take some photos when I was inside, most notably of Tamaryn’s Julee Cruiseish show, somewhere between Loveless, Pornography and David Lynch…

The other show I’ve seen a glimpse of was Statiqbloom’s harsh assault.

For some reason, I felt a strong urge to listen to Einsturzende Neubauten’s ‘Halber Mensch’ LP on the way home and (for some reason, again) it made perfect sense in the park, just after getting out from the S-Train.

Earlier that week, I did a session with Sally Dige; a part of it can be seen here. First, I had to carry a random stick (plus the posters that I ripped off the wall) for 5 kilometers because I didn’t want to get into U-Train with them and thus became one of those Kreuzberg try-too-hards, then we had to run away from the abandoned place we were shooting at because some old lady didn’t like it. Definitely fun times… I will post more photos from those sessions soon.

Also, since I already have the stick, why not post this too…

‘Talk’ soon…
